Case Management Services Ltd

Established in 1988, CMS is an independent case management provider. We specialise in case management, Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) and expert witness assessment after traumatic injury. We have an in-house multi-disciplinary team, including neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, neurophysiotherapists and speech and language therapists working throughout the UK. Our aim is to provide specialist rehabilitation and case management in the community, working with all those affected by catastrophic injury, to rebuild and create new opportunities.

We are a skilled and highly experienced clinical team.

We work with clients and significant others throughout all stages of the rehabilitation
process.

We deliver individually tailored case management packages to suit the needs of the
clients.

We take a flexible approach to the breadth and duration of case management input.

We pride ourselves on having a well-integrated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), enabling good peer supervision. We receive instructions from a range of sources, including lawyers, insurers, occupational health specialists, and other healthcare providers. We have referrals from the independent (private) sector and the public sector. We provide a clinical service which by its nature is impartial and medico-legally we receive referrals from both claimant and defender solicitors, insurers, and trustees.

Our team come from various backgrounds and have experience working across public and private sectors including social care, housing, welfare and health. Our diversity of experience and knowledge, particularly of local resources, allows for good collaborative working with statutory, voluntary and health services. Partnership with local resources is vital to effective and sustainable long-term management of recovery after injury. We maintain good links with other providers including the care organisations with whom we work.

We exceed requirements for staff CPD and seek to contribute to various professional organisations. Dr Harrison is an examiner for the British Psychological Society (BPS) and external university examiner. Both contribute to post-graduate professional training. Michaela McGowan and Lynn Hodge have presented regularly including the Head Injury Information Days, Scottish Head Injury Forum and BABICM events.
