Case Manager & Quant Writer

We provide community based rehabilitation primarily within the client’s homes and this involves close collaboration with the client’s family, therapy team and any other services who may be involved. The Care Expert role involves completing thorough clinical assessment with an individual to prepare an impartial, independent report for Court based on their expertise. The care report will address areas such as functional ability, current and future care needs, therapy recommendations and comment on equipment and accommodation. The Care Expert may also participate in consultations with the legal Team and attend Court when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applicants must be HCPC/NMC registered and have a clinical qualification such as Occupational Therapy or Nursing
- Applicants must have at least 6 years’ experience in their area of expertise and prior experience of medical legal care expert work
- The successful candidate must have experience of collaborative working within a multidisciplinary team and with clients and their families
- Experience of rehabilitation and/or setting up care packages in the community is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, assessment and report writing skills.
- Driver with access to own car.
- Flexibility and the willingness to travel to client’s homes both locally and considerably further afield.
- Assessing needs
- Formulating care and rehabilitation plans
- Goal setting
- Coordinating services and signposting to other services as required
- Assessing risk and evaluating input
- Writing Immediate Needs Assessment reports. These outline an individual’s rehabilitation, care/support, housing and equipment needs and are often instructed under the Rehab Code.
