Our medico-legal reports are prepared by Dr Andrew Harrison (Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist) who has practiced in the field of neuropsychology since 1997. He is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), he is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (British Psychological Society) and he is an Associate Fellow with the British Psychological Society. Dr Harrison has over 20yrs experience preparing medico-legal neuropsychology reports with adult survivors of traumatic brain injury and other forms of acquired brain injury. He is regularly instructed both by the Pursuer / Claimant and the Defendant in the Scottish and English Courts.

Flexible Assessment Locations Across the UK

Dr Harrison accepts instructions across the UK and offers flexibility in terms of the location of appointments depending on the needs of the client, including at our offices in Edinburgh, clinic / meeting locations local to the client, domiciliary visits and at instructing parties’ premises where appropriate.

Clear, transparent fee structure

Our fees are charged at a fixed hourly rate, with total costs determined by:

  • Duration of clinical assessment
  • Volume of records and documentation for review
  • Travel costs and expenses (where applicable)

A detailed fee estimate is provided at the point of instruction and determined on a case-by-case basis.

Instruction Process

We aim to provide a transparent, seamless and efficient process for instructing solicitors as follows:

  1. Submit a preliminary enquiry or formal letter of instruction via our website, email, or telephone
  2. Suitability of instruction will be confirmed at earliest and current timescales for appointments, turn-around for the report and a detailed fee estimate provided
  3. Subject to confirmation of the above, a proposed appointment date and location will be provided
  4. We will maintain ongoing communication and ensure close liaison regarding additional case work throughout the litigation process (e.g., supplementary reports, attendance at case conferences / consultations and at Court) as required
