About Us
Case Management Services Ltd
Established in 1988, Case Management Services Ltd (CMS) is an independent provider specialising in case management, Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR), and expert witness assessments following traumatic injury.
Our in-house multi-disciplinary team, based in Scotland, includes neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, neurophysiotherapists, and speech and language therapists, working throughout the UK. We are dedicated to delivering specialist rehabilitation and case management within the community, empowering those affected by catastrophic injuries to rebuild their lives and discover new opportunities.
We pride ourselves on our well-integrated multi-disciplinary team (MDT), which enables effective peer supervision. We receive instructions from a range of sources, including lawyers, insurers, occupational health specialists, and other healthcare providers. Our referrals come from both the independent (private) sector and the public sector. Our clinical service is impartial by nature, and we receive medico-legal referrals from both claimant and defender solicitors, insurers, and trustees.
Our team members come from diverse backgrounds and have experience working across public and private sectors, including social care, housing, welfare, and health. This diversity of experience and knowledge, particularly of local resources, allows for effective collaborative work with statutory, voluntary, and health services. Partnerships with local resources are vital for the sustainable long-term management of recovery after injury. We maintain strong links with other providers, including the care organisations with whom we work.
We exceed requirements for staff CPD and actively contribute to various professional organisations. Our Director and Consultant Neuropsychologist Dr. Harrison is an examiner for the British Psychological Society (BPS) and an external university examiner, contributing to post-graduate professional training. Alongside Dr Harrison, our other Directors, Michaela McGowan and Lynn Hodge, regularly present at events such as the Head Injury Information Days (HIID), Scottish Head Injury Forum (SHIF), and British Association for Brain Injury Case Management (BABICM) events.
