About Us

Case Management Services Ltd

Independent. Multidisciplinary. Trusted since 1988.

Case Management Services Ltd (CMS) is one of Scotland’s longest‑established specialist providers of case management, community-based rehabilitation and expert witness services. Since 1988, we have supported individuals who have experienced catastrophic and complex injuries, helping them rebuild their lives with dignity, safety and specialist clinical input.

Our work is grounded in professionalism, independence, and compassion. We support solicitors, insurers, health professionals, and families across Scotland and the UK, providing clear clinical reasoning, transparent communication, and consistently high standards of practice.

We are a skilled and highly experienced clinical team.

We work with clients and significant others throughout all stages of the rehabilitation
process.

We deliver individually tailored case management packages to suit the needs of the
clients.

We take a flexible approach to the breadth and duration of case management input.

Our Purpose

We exist to ensure that people affected by serious injury receive the right rehabilitation, at the right time, in the right way. Through coordinated, community‑based support, we help clients regain skills, confidence and meaningful participation in daily life.

We recognise that our clients have often experienced trauma. We work in a way that promotes safety, trust, choice and collaboration, ensuring our assessments and interventions are respectful, empathetic and centred on the individual’s goals and circumstances.

Our Clinical Standards

CMS operates with a strong professional and ethical framework. Our practice reflects the expectations of leading UK case management and clinical bodies, and is underpinned by:

  • A commitment to independence and impartiality
  • Clear, evidence‑based clinical decision‑making
  • Multidisciplinary working and coordinated rehabilitation
  • Ongoing supervision, peer review and CPD
  • Transparent, consistent communication with legal teams and families
  • A trauma‑informed and person‑centred approach

These standards support high‑quality case management and expert witness work across a range of injury types and complexities.

Our Multidisciplinary Team

Our in‑house team brings together experienced professionals from neuropsychology, occupational therapy, neurophysiotherapy, speech and language therapy, and nursing. This breadth allows us to understand each client’s needs holistically and to coordinate rehabilitation that is both specialist and sustainable.

We work closely with statutory, voluntary, and private providers across Scotland and the UK. These partnerships enable us to support clients within their own communities, drawing on local resources that strengthen long‑term outcomes.

How We Work

Every individual and every case is different. We tailor our involvement to the needs of the client, whether through:

  • Case Management — coordinating community‑based rehabilitation, support services, equipment, housing, and vocational planning
  • Immediate Needs Assessment (INA) — establishing the client’s initial and urgent rehabilitation requirements
  • Ongoing Rehabilitation Planning — goal‑setting, MDT coordination, family support, progress reporting and risk management
  • Expert Witness Services — clinically robust, impartial assessments and reports that assist the court in understanding complex injury needs

Our approach is collaborative, structured and transparent. We ensure that referrers and families know what to expect at each stage, and that clients feel heard, respected and supported.

Our Leadership

CMS is led by an experienced senior team of clinicians and professionals with specialist expertise in catastrophic injury. Their roles include clinical governance, service development, supervision of colleagues, and maintaining strong professional links across the sector.
